After Galaxy S7 and LG G5, the next big thing making its way is HTC’s prolific flagship, the One M10. Whether one M10 or just HTC 10, the next beauty from the Taiwanese giant will be a gem of a phone, especially after the company’s tepid performance with One M8 and One A9 last year. The company has fixed April 12th for the official introduction of the handset, but fortunately, several rumours, leaks, and renders have already confirmed a lot about its look, feel, and performance.
While nothing is evident, it is likely that HTC will bring a full-metal unibody with a powerful display, and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 SoC. Compiling several rumours and an educated guesswork, we’re giving you the top 5 features that HTC One M10 might have on offer!
-
An Improved Design
Last month, an image surfaced on Twitter revealing the entire look and feel of the HTC One M10. The phone looked like an upgraded iteration of the HTC One A9 or a mixed version of the One A9 and M9. It featured the premium aesthetics of Apple with a design that looked very similar to native One M series. The back of the phone incorporated a circular camera module instead of a square-ish one, and the front highlighted an elongated home button, which would probably bear a fingerprint scanner as well.
Along with all this, it has also been reported that HTC One M10 will incorporate waterproofing capabilities with a premium metal build. There has to be more on design, but from here, we can certainly presume, HTC has made a real beauty in the form of its all-new One M10!
-
Sharp and Vibrant Display
As for the display, only one rumour goes around, suggesting a 5.1-inch QHD display. HTC is expected to continue its good work with Quad-HD, but the question is not about resolution, it’s whether it will be an AMOLED or a Super LCD panel.
With a beautifully crafted HTC One A9, the Taiwanese giant introduced its first Super AMOLED panel and delivered great results. One A9’s AMOLED display technology was highly appreciated, but here, both possibilities are pretty much alive, Super AMOLED or a standard LCD.
Either way, viewing experience from a Quad-HD HTC device will be no less than a real treat. The last four or five phones from HTC have incorporated one of the best displays, which means, expecting anything less from One M10 will be totally unfair! It will be crisp, sharp, and perfect for on-the-go entertainment.

A big bump on the Hardware front
Apart from design and display, things are pretty obvious on the hardware front. After the introduction of LG G5 and Galaxy S7, HTC One M10 is likely to incorporate Qualcomm’s latest in the line, Snapdragon 820 quad-core chip. HTC has been friendly with Qualcomm for a long time, and with Samsung and LG already in the game, the company would not want to make another big mistake. As for RAM capabilities, a major bump-up has been tipped from 3GB to 4GB, and inbuilt storage has been speculated at 32GB, with an added microSD card slot.
All of this clearly suggests HTC One M10 will be an immensely powerful smartphone with top-notch innards. Snapdragon 820 offers a lot more than SD810 and is much snappier and power efficient as well. In fact, it is also worth noting that in recent AnTuTu benchmark leaks, HTC One M10 scored a blazing 1,56,091, which was better than all players in the game, even Samsung Galaxy S7!
-
Enhanced Pixel Count with Better Image Processor
Out of all these features, the camera is the biggest point of discussion for the HTC One M10. In the last few years, the Taiwanese giant has experimented a lot with its camera technology. This includes a dual camera setup, enhanced pixel count, and much more. They’ve given regular camera bump-ups, taking us to the point of whether HTC One M10 will bear a 20/23-megapixel sensor with an improved image processor or the immensely popular UltraPixel technology.
Well, there are rumours about both. According to recent speculations, HTC One M10 is likely to feature a 20-23-megapixel sensor with an improved processor, while according to Venture Beat, the device will incorporate a 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera, the same one from Nexus 5X and 6P.
The introduction of OIS and Laser Autofocus with any of these features will make One M10 one of the finest competitors of Galaxy S7 and LG G5. The company has promised a lot, but since there’s no official word, all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt as well!

Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI
Just like Galaxy S7 and LG G5, HTC One M10 will also run the latest iteration of Android right out of the box. Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense UI, HTC will bring a slew of improvements on the software front. Though this will not be the company’s first smartphone with Android Marshmallow, we can certainly expect some major improvements in terms of performance and aesthetics.
Moreover, it is also pretty clear that HTC wants to remove unnecessary clutter from the alleged smartphone and stick close to stock Android Marshmallow. Sense 7.0 on the One A9 was pretty decent, which gives us the hope that Sense 8.0 coming with One M10 will be even better!
So there you are! All of this makes HTC One M10 a perfect fit for flagship buyers. Apart from all these features, HTC holds a lot under its sleeves for One M10. The phone will include a snappy fingerprint scanner, a long-lasting battery, waterproofing capabilities and much more.
In a nutshell, if you’re looking for a phone with powerful innards, a brilliant form-factor, and a sharp display, no other option can go better than HTC One M10. As said earlier, the phone will be introduced on April 12th at a price somewhere around INR 50k in the Indian market. There’s still no word on the official India pricing of this device!
